MOTHERING SUNDAY GUIDED TOUR OF STANSTED HOUSE

Treat your Mum this Mothering Sunday to a Guided Tour of Stansted House.

​

Visit the family seat of the Earls and Countesses of Bessborough and enjoy a glass of fizz in the beautiful Main Hall on arrival.

During your tour, our knowledge guide will show you around the stunning State Rooms- once used to entertain politicians, actors and royalty- before taking you downstairs to explore the extensive Servants Quarters.

Enjoy a true upstairs, downstairs experience as you learn about the fascinating women who once lived and worked in this beautiful Edwardian mansion.

​

Especially for this tour, you will have the opportunity to view some special items from the collection, not usually on public display.

​

This guided tour will last approximately 75 minutes.

Access Requirements 

This guided tour is wheelchair friendly and step-free access around the House is available. Please note however that the lift may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
