Stansted Park Through the Seasons
Part 1 - Winter & Spring
Are you or someone you know a photography enthusiast?
We are excited to launch a photography competition at Stansted Park for keen photographers of all ages. The competition focuses on capturing the Stansted Park Estate during the seasons of Winter and Spring.

ENTRY INFORMATION

The photographs can include architecture, the grounds, forest, fauna and flora. ​

Please make sure to respect other people’s privacy when taking photos, especially around the many private residence on the Stansted Park Estate. If you do happen to capture a great shot that includes people, please make sure to get permission from them before entering it.

We encourage entrants to be as creative as they like but also to respect the countryside code and stick to designated paths.

Entries must be submitted via email to competitions@stanstedpark.co.uk. Emails can be up to 10MG, anything over that size please use Dropbox.com to the same email address and make available for download for at least 14 days.

Images can be old or new, but they must be your own and you must have the rights to your submission entries.

We will only accept one entry per person for each Season (2 in total). Each image must be labelled with the season, your full name and age.

Each entry email must clearly state your full name, age and town of residence and best contact phone number (you do not have to be local to enter).

The competition will run until midnight on 12th May 2025. Public voting will take place for 4 weeks until 4pm on 13th June 2025. The winners will be announced soon after this date.

VOTING
-
There will be both a public voted winner and a Stansted Park voted winner for each season and each age category. Therefore, there will be 4 winner per age category, 12 winners in total across all three age categories.

Your full name and age will be displayed alongside the image online.

All entries will be displayed on our dedicated website page and Facebook page for 4 weeks after the competition closes – public voting will take place on Facebook during this time, you place your vote by ‘liking’ your favourite image.

The 12 winners will be displayed at the Stansted Summer Festival 2025 (19th & 20th July) and then in the House for the remaining 2025 house opening season.

PRIZES
Each winner will receive the following prizes worth £120:

A family weekend ticket to the Stansted Summer Festival (19th & 20th July 2025) worth £70 (on the gate price)

A Family entry to Stansted House worth £30

Family entry to the Stansted Yew Maze and Light Railway worth £20

Full Terms and Conditions

You may enter only one image per person per season – 2 images in total.
-
If you capture people in the image, you must get consent from them to enter the image.
-
You may not enter an image on behalf of another person.
-
The entered photographs must not have been entered in any other competitions
-
The entered images must be high resolution and suitable for printing.
-
There will be 4 winners for each age category – 12 prize winners in total.

Each entry must be clearly labelled with your full name, age and the season (Winter or Spring). Please also tell us where on the Estate it was taken, ideally using the free app What3words (www.what3words.com)

A single person cannot win the prize for both seasons. If it happens that the public chooses the same winner for both seasons, then they will win with the image that has the most votes of the 2 – the person with the second highest amount of votes on the other season will be the winner of that season.

Taking part in this competition does not allow entry into any parts of the park or forest that are off limits for access and are signposted as such.

Drones are not permitted on Stansted Park and no aerial images will be accepted into the competition.

There are many private residents on Stansted Estate – please be very mindful of privacy, especially when photographing anywhere near people’s homes. If we deem that privacy has been breached in any way, the image will be excluded from the competition.

There are no cash alternative to the prizes, though the prizes may be gifted to someone else.

You may not enter the competition if you or a family member work directly for the Stansted Park Foundation.

Images can be old or new, but they must be your own and you must have the intellectual rights to your submission entries.

The last date for submission entries will be midnight Monday 12th May 2025. No entries will be considered after this date. On Tuesday 20th May 2025 all entries will be added to Facebook and become available for the public vote for 4 weeks – voting will close at 4pm on Tuesday 13th June 2025.

All images will be uploaded to stanstedpark.co.uk for viewing – all public voting must be done via Facebook.

A public vote will be made by ‘liking’ the image you are voting for on Facebook. You may vote for more than one image, but you may not vote for the same image twice with different Facebook accounts.

The original images may be resized to the best possible size if too large for Facebook.

By submitting an image to this competition you give Stansted Park Foundation the right to use your image online and in print. You retain the rights to the image as your intellectual property. You also give Stansted Park Foundation permission to post your name and age on the internet.

You may take photographs within Stansted House during House opening, however flash photography, tripods or close up images of paintings and historical artefacts are not permitted.

Please note that outside of special guided tour dates, Stansted House is only open from Easter Sunday until the end of September on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 1pm until 5pm (last entry at 4pm). There are occasions when the house is also closed during these times for private events – please check our website before travelling.

Please be aware of scam accounts on Facebook posing as Stansted Park. The winner will be contacted directly by phone or email from Stansted Park directly and the winners will be announced on our official Facebook page and website.

Stansted Park will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or harm that occurs as a result of participating in this competition
